Daily DeviationGiven 2004-02-15Another Perfect Day by +brazensix really is one of the best works of art I've seen in a long time. The vivid colors imitate the very sensations of life in a tangible way that most art can never convey. The symbols of color and objects are used in such a way that not many artists around here have captured. You surely must check this deviation out immediately! I notice the blue remains to the person, and to the flowers, but when the butterflies touch the flowers, they turn warm and full of life and heat.. but the butterflies are cold and lifeless when they first are let loose from the hand of the girl..
To think out loud and use simple terms (so my mind CAN think
going from cold/bad.. to free = warm/good.. then taking these cold/bad flowers, and touching them with a little of the life/warm/good that they obtained in their freedom...
then on the right we have the floating leaves and butterflies that seem to get more life, the further from the girl as they get... mainly enforcing the fact that this chick looks like a cold-life-draining ice witch
SOOooooooo....
If there's anything I can assume from what I've known of your past work, and try to take a big chance that might make me end up looking retarded... uh... we have a girl that seems to have drained the life out of you in one time, or had resulting effects after the fact, though in time after letting go, freedom was once again obtained, and your life in general (the flowers) is becoming more beautiful and full of life and warmth the more your soul is brightened by the posibilities and freedoms that life in general grants us.
If not, that's still an amazingly beautiful image, and this is one reason I always love seeing your stuff come onto my dev watch man.. I've admired you since that day I sat down for a couple hours and commented on every piece in your gallery, as best I could. This is one of the major things that keeps me ON this site, man.
Thanks.

Visit My Website Submit Some Style
To me, the point of art is to see something in it and relate to it in some way. To stare at a piece of artwork, a photo etc. and to see something more beneath the surface is truly what it's about. It's those pieces that truly mean the most to me and is what I strive to do in all of my artwork. I know I can't achieve it all the time, and more often then not I don't... but it is always first and foremost on my mind. To invoke an emotion and a spur of thoughts simply by presenting someone with an image, is the reason I continue making the things I do.
It took me forever to submit this, I stared at an empty title and description bar for a good hour or two tonight, not knowing what to write, not knowing how to convey or express what I wanted. But, what you've described here is exactly the way I had wanted people to interpret it as. The center piece... the girl. The butterflies. The leaves. The flowers. The gradient of cold/warm. Deteriorating skin. Breaking away. It all has so many meanings and can all be seen in so many ways. It can represent anything. Something so small, or something so large.
Metaphors.
Symbolism.
Representations.
Freedoms... being free from something, or allowing something to be free from you. Life alone, or life together. Warmth, coldness. It's all about perception and how you interpret it. I don't think I could have asked for a better interpretation.
Thank you.
